* CHAMBER MUSIC *

Most of my chamber music was made possible during my graduate studies in music composition at Princeton University. Secret Light was inspired by the visionary paintings of Lithuanian artist, M.K. Ciurlionis. Pärispea/Dream is a diptych of 1) music that came to me in a dream and 2) a transcription of a Russian folk song I heard two boys play on accordions in Mooste, Estonia. There's also music for experimental dance (Weather Oracle), outdoor Manhattan community bell choirs (Shimmering Doorway I & II), a scored ensemble improvisation inspired by Ezekiel's vision performed at the Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral (Ezekiel's Vision), animist dream karaoke for solo performers and prerecorded soundtrack (Conversation with a Wolf, Arachnomancy), and creative transcriptions of the dialogue, music, and sound FX from a scene in Jim Henson's "The Dark Crystal" (Shapes of Kindness).
