AMP COLLECTIONS
The AMP is the proud home of the Chaw Mank Collection, the single largest archive of the psychic country producer and fanclub pioneer Chaw Mank; the Dane Rudhyar Collection, featuring many materials from the Karen Bolander Estate regarding influential artist, composer, astrologer, and author Dane Rudhyar; the Rev. Sherman Hester Papers / UHSC Collection, an Ohio church archive from one of the earliest denominations in the Black Spiritual Church movement; the W.W. Harmon Collection, featuring rare illustrations, personal papers, and documents by theosopher, optometrist, and illustrator W.W. Harmon; the “Doc” Tommy Scott Collection features materials from the estate of the country singer and last purveyor of the Medicine Show tradition; and the Israelite House of David Collection features some of that tradition's rare musical materials. While these are the primary single-source collections in the AMP archive, there are numerous multi-source collections and significant materials concerning the following artists: Radie Britain, Hermon di Giovanno, Irma Glen, Mary Hallock-Greenewalt, Mary Lou Williams, the Hutchinson Family Singers, Vincent Lopez, Carlyle Petersilea, May Wright Sewall, and others.
