ARCHIVAL THEMES

While there are many themes represented in the AMP archive, there are a few themes which have accrued a significant focus. Tone-Color Metaphysics concerns the diverse applications of tone-color correspondence and metaphysical symbolism in American music history. Séance Music concerns music that facilitates or arises from séance ceremonies, mediumship, or clairaudient experience. Occult Opera concerns the vast influence of occult tradition in turn-of-the-century American opera.
